Strategy description: The Brown Advisory U.S. Small-Cap ESG Strategy is a portfolio of high-conviction, sustainable small-cap equities that is built upon active stock research and screening that goes beyond systematic negative screening. In addition to owning companies with compelling ESG profiles, the portfolio also seeks to deliver low tracking error and high active share vs. the Russell 2000 Index. The strategy only owns shares in companies who adhere to UN Global Compact Principles, have zero exposure to fossil fuels, controversial weapons, and non-medical animal testing, and derive less than 5% of earnings from tobacco, alcohol, gambling, adult entertainment, or defense weapons.
