Strategy description: The Parnassus Mid Cap Growth Equity strategy is a fundamental, U.S., mid-cap growth equity strategy. The strategy seeks to invest in increasingly relevant U.S. mid cap companies with long-term competitive advantages, quality management teams and positive performance on ESG criteria. The portfolio managers emphasize the future relevancy of companies by selecting businesses that are gaining market share and that they believe have ample runways for continued growth. The strategy seeks to capture the full market upside and avoid some of the market downside by focusing on quality companies that have established business models and proven financial models, while avoiding highly leveraged companies. The strategy avoids investments in fossil fuels, tobacco, alcohol and certain other industries.
